COVID-19 in the Springtime
By Grace Schmalz
This photo essay is dedicated to everyone I spent time with during this pandemic. Human love and connection is something you don't realize you miss til it's gone and I will be coming out of the age of COVID-19 with a much-needed, renewed appreciation for my friends and family. With the beautiful spring weather than began to show itself, I was able to walk around nature, which helped with peace of mind while a good chunk of life as we know it shut down. These photos represent what I value in life, which became especially prevalent in quarantine. After taking a wide variety of photos, I found that the portraits of those I was with were the most powerful, in addition to choice photos of objects and plants.
